Did you know that there have been numerous references to Pink Floyd in The Simpsons? For example, in one of the episodes, Bart can be seen trying to play Echoes on guitar, but is interrupted by Nelson. Did you know that Pink Floyd needed 49 trucks to move all the things necessary for the Division Bell tour? Did you know that The Wall could have been a triple album? The material that didn’t make it to the Wall album later became part of Final Cut.
Peter Christopherson, born on the 27th of February 1955, photographed the famous Battersea power plant for the cover of the Animals album and helped to make some of the other covers (diving man on Wish You Were Here). He got his college degrees in screenwriting, programming, design and video. In 1974 he was employed as an assistant of Hipgnosis led by Storm Thorgerson and he soon became a co-owner of the company.
When Hipgnosis refrained from work in 1983, Christopherson founded a film production company and was a member of several bands at the same time (e.g. Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV and Coil).
