Did you know that although Meddle contains the anthem of Liverpool FC, Waters is a devoted supporter of the London “Gunners” Arsenal FC? Did you know that in the song Seamus a voice can be heard saying “He is the real dog.“ right before one of the “dog solos“? Did you know that in 1974, PF were preparing album called "Household Object" the only instruments should be ordinary home objects (scotch tape, bucket, cutlery...). They made 3 songs, but they were released during the "Why Pink Floyd" campaign in 2011.

Gravy Train

Used in the lyrics of Have A Cigar from Wish You Were Here.

Originally, the lyrics go like this: "Did we tell you the name of the game, boy? We call it Riding a Gravy Train."
The term “gravy train” comes from the 1920’s English railwaymen’s slang. It was used for work on trains where there was not much to do and the wage was good. The term “gravy” meaning rich or wealthy was used since the beginning of the 20th century.
