Did you know that in the song Seamus a voice can be heard saying “He is the real dog.“ right before one of the “dog solos“? Did you know that on the Wall tour Rick Wright was no longer a member of the band and only played as a hired musician? Did you know that Eric Clapton and Roger Waters worked together on the soundtrack for John Hurt’s Hit? That is where their later cooperation on Waters’ Pros and Cons Of Hitch Hiking album originated.
Surrogate Band was a band founded just for the purposes of the live The Wall shows.
The band - Andy Bown – bass guitar, Snowy White (1980)/ Andy Roberts (1981) – guitar, Willie Wilson – drums and Peter Woods – keyboards, would usually play the opening song wearing masks. The fans cheered, because they did not know that the people on stage were not the actual Pink Floyd. The idea came from Roger, who wanted to show his disgust upon the fact that the fans will love anyone who just looks like Floyd.
