Did you know that Nick Mason does not like to eat the crust of a pie? You can see that in the Live At Pompeii movie during one of the Dark Side recording sessions. Did you know that The Flaming Lips recorded a cover version of Dark Side Of The Moon in 2009? Did you know that although Meddle contains the anthem of Liverpool FC, Waters is a devoted supporter of the London “Gunners” Arsenal FC?

Artwork: Hipgnosis

note:

The album was very successful, although it is quite extravagant because of two very long experimental tracks it features. The first one takes the entire A side and Pink Floyd wanted it to be “something big.”
The song Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast was inspired by the morning rituals of a faithful Pink Floyd roadie called Alan Stiles, whose voice can be heard on the album. The song was performed live only once.
The album's name is a reference to a newspaper article about the theoretical possibility of human pacemakers running on nuclear energy.
